The Young Lion depicts how the first of the Plantagenet kings, Henry II, came to rule England and much of France, through his marriage to Eleanor of Aquitaine, making him the most influential ruler in Europe. This is a story of revenge, duty, entitlement, power, sex, love and religion set against a bloody backdrop of interminable conflict.
